The Sealproof Deep 1-Gang In Use Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Cover is UL Extra Duty Compliant with a patented multi-configuration design. Made of durable polycarbonate construction, it is lockable, easy to install, and 5-1/4" deep. This weatherproof cover includes a gasket and mounting hardware, allowing for up to 18 configurations for GFCI, Duplex, Switch, or Round outlets ranging from 1-1/4” to 2-1/8”. It meets the requirements of the National Electrical Code 2014 Edition 406.9 for receptacles in damp or wet locations, specifically in wet locations for 15 and 20 ampere outlets.

In wet locations, 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt receptacles must have a weatherproof enclosure, regardless of the plug being inserted. An extra-duty outlet box hood must be listed and identified as such. All 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt non-locking receptacles must be weather-resistant. The cover is 5-1/4" deep, providing ample space for 12 AWG or heavier cables. It can be used horizontally or vertically, is lockable, and comes with a gasket and mounting hardware. Please note that the outlet box, lock, and receptacle are not included in the package.
